The award honors a career of leadership, business innovation, and consistent success and dedication that helped shape the industry in the West and the community at large. 40^th Wildcatter of the Year

We’re excited to announce our 2025 recipient, a luminary in the oil and natural gas industry and very deserving awardee: Vicki Hollub, president and chief executive officer of Oxy.

During her more than 40-year career with Oxy, Vicki has held a variety of management and technical positions with responsibilities on three continents, including roles in the United States, Russia, Venezuela, and Ecuador. Before her appointment to president and CEO, she served as Oxy’s president and chief operating officer, overseeing the company’s oil and gas, chemical and midstream operations.

Under Vicki’s leadership, Oxy has been a significant innovator, especially with respect to environmental stewardship. Oxy’s innovation has resulted in the company having the lowest greenhouse gas intensity in Colorado while being a leader in innovative surface design, reduced water use, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies.

Vicki serves on the boards of Lockheed Martin and the American Petroleum Institute. She is a member of the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative and past chair of the World Economic Forum’s Oil and Gas Community. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Vicki holds a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Engineering. She was inducted into the University of Alabama College of Engineering 2016 class of Distinguished Engineering Fellows and elected to the National Academy of Engineering Class of 2024.
